Refrigeration Technician – Grabouw

Location: Grabouw | Salary: R40,000 per month | Hours: 07:30 – 16:30 with overtime as required.

The Role: As a Refrigeration Technician you will maintain and optimise an ammonia refrigeration plant, ensuring reliability and efficiency across operations. You will respond to operational requests from logistics, troubleshoot issues, uphold safety protocols, and work independently during shifts, stepping in during the absence of the Senior Refrigeration Technician.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure continuous operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration plant components with minimal downtime.
• Respond to operational requests from logistics and other departments.
• Uphold strict safety protocols, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Work independently during shifts and cover absences within the refrigeration team.
• Perform inspections, record‑keeping, and reporting on plant performance.
• Support operational continuity through overtime and standby responsibilities.
