SUMMARY :

A leading poultry processing facility is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Foreman to oversee their ammonia-based refrigeration plant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient running, maintenance, and compliance of the refrigeration systems critical to daily production. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and strict adherence to safety regulations.

POSITION INFO :
Key Responsibilities :
  • Manage and supervise the refrigeration team and plant operations.
  • Ensure the optimal performance of refrigeration systems and equipment, specifically ammonia-based installations.
  • Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to prevent breakdowns and ensure uptime.
  • Maintain and enforce safety protocols in line with ammonia regulations and legal standards.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance schedules, record-keeping, and regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Monitor energy efficiency and implement continuous improvement measures.
  • Train and mentor Technicians and ensure operational readiness.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to support operational requirements.
Minimum Requirements :
  • CAT B Ammonia License – essential.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial refrigeration, preferably within food processing or cold storage environments.
  • Hands-on experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or Foreman role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems related to refrigeration.
  • Understanding of SHEQ standards, risk management, and emergency procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure, troubleshoot efficiently, and lead a team effectively.
