Job summary

Novus Holdings Limited is seeking a Reelstand Operator - Labels in Cape Town to ensure accurate preparation of reels for the FMCG printing environment. The role reports to the Shift Leader – Press and involves handling paper size and grammage, assisting with breaks and changeovers, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has Matric or equivalent and 1-2 years of Reelstand Operator experience, with exposure to a press room environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct paper size, grammage and check QTMS loaded.
• Assist with paper breaks and change over.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Manage excess paper and prevent spoilage.
• Ensure accurate preparation of reels to maintain quality within time tolerance.
• Assist on the press when required.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety procedures.

Introduction

Novus Print: Montague Gardens is currently seeking to appoint an individual, with knowledge and experience in an FMCG printing environment to take on the role of a Reelstand Operator - Labels to ensure the accurate preparation of reels. The successful candidate will report directly to the Shift Leader – Press.

• Ensure correct paper size, grammage and check QTMS loaded
• Assist with paper breaks and change over
• Fault finding
• Management of excess paper and prevention of spoilage
• Ensure accurate preparation of reels to maintain desired quality within time tolerance
• Assist on the press when required
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained
• Adherence to safety procedures and operational maintenance
