Job Title: Recruitment Specialist
Reports To: Chief Human Resources Officer
Location: Cape Town
Purpose of the Role: To provide and deliver a comprehensive, effective, efficient and value adding, start-to-end recruitment function. Align the recruitment process with the strategic Human Resources strategy and tactical plans. Work will be done through partnering with key stakeholders (HR support areas) in order to build a competent workforce and create a positive climate for employees, thereby making Terra Firma an employer of choice (EOC).

Experience Required
- 5 / 6 years' experience in a recruitment function
- Excel proficient
- Experience in different assessment tools
- Experience in role profiling, competency and behavioural interviewing techniques
- Experience with LinkedIn essential
- Renewable Energy experience preferable
- Specialist in sourcing for Engineering roles
- Proven track record in creating sourcing pipelines for critical roles
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure quality, consistency and application of recruitment policies, procedures and practices
- Continuously review recruitment infrastructure, processes and systems with a view to recommend and establish a full candidate life‑cycle best practice
- Liaise with all recruitment channels including agencies, online portals, universities, etc.
- Represent the organisation as Brand ambassador and promote the organisation as an employer of choice
- Recruit in accordance with the Employment Equity policy
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, minimizing the company's exposure to adverse outcome of complaints, litigation, audits and inspections
- Ensure that all recruitment service levels with management
- Develop agreed resourcing and recruitment service levels with management
- Analyse role, create and/or update role and personal profiles according to the vacancy's requirements, experience and skills experience and skills
- Create advertisement for distribution both internally and externally (e‑recruitment, direct sourcing and agencies)
- Source, screen and identify suitable candidates who meet the key criteria
- Arrange, conduct and facilitate competency and behavioural based interviews at selected grade
- Engage with HRBP on occupational levels for their involvement in the interview process
- Communicate and provide feedback to internal and external candidates and management on a continuous basis
- Coordinate and implement relevant assessments and checks (ITC, Criminal, Qualification and Reference) in line with the agreed service levels and communicate results accordingly
- Compile and distribute complete interview packs including interview guides
- Manage and negotiate the offer process and ensure that all relevant and required documentation and information are completed and signed off
- Advise management on the most cost effective recruitment strategies
- Conduct the recruitment process in the most cost effective way taking into account deadlines and the company's requirements
- Ensure the timely payment of invoices are made to ensure the candidates guarantee period
- Work closely with HRBPs and HoD in the planning and implementation of recruitment activities to generate most effective and low cost recruitment solutions to stay within the recruitment budget and yet delivery in line with the business talent plans
- Ensure continuous and clear communication takes place between all relevant role players
- Company branding utilizing media, educational resources, online resources and publications in order to attract the best talent and become an Employer of choice
- Network with internal and external stakeholders with the purpose to build and expand the candidate network
- Continuously build and maintain relationships with management and external service providers
- Update the various trackers to ensure latest information and process status is being documented and communicated and provide insights and solutions
- Continuously update and maintain website, online career portals and intranet
- Continuously improve and update recruitment templates and documentation
- Update and maintain the candidate network and recruitment management system
- Manage Graduate Days at UWC, US and UCT
- Manage Career Fair Days i.e. Disability Career Fair
- Research, investigate and implement all ad hoc projects to improve the overall recruitment process, costs and timeline efficiencies
- Ensure successful implementation of projects
- Analyse, evaluate and report on the efficiency of the recruitment process focussing on costs and recruitment sources and make recommendations where necessary
- Analyse the applications process on the various online portals and provide monthly reports to track best recruitment sources
- Track and evaluate skills and trends in order to mitigate risk, ensure contingency and capitalize on opportunities through collaboration with management
- Compile regular weekly, monthly and ad hoc recruitment and project reports on recruitment activities
