A leading consulting firm in Johannesburg seeks a Recruiting Manager to lead the end-to-end recruiting process. The role includes managing the recruiting budget, overseeing operations, and enhancing employer branding. Ideal candidates have 6-8 years in HR or recruitment, proven team management skills, and knowledge of immigration legislation. Based in Johannesburg (JNB), the Recruiting Manager role leads end-to-end recruiting for South Africa across campus, lateral, and international channels owning strategy, delivery, and the candidate experience.
Runs recruiting cycles, steers employer branding and events locally and abroad, and manages day-to-day team operations—coaching the team and optimizing processes to meet BCG standards and local legislation.
Tracks funnel metrics, provides regular reporting to leadership, and owns the recruiting budget.
Performs competitor analysis and benchmarking and establishes best practices for Johannesburg and across Africa.
Drives relationships across schools and affiliates to ensure best-in-class initiatives are run and recognized.
Partners with Practice Areas and global / regional teams (including Digital / BCG X) to design targeted hiring campaigns, align on hiring levels and compensation, and ensure smooth integration of lateral hires in the Johannesburg office.

Strategy & Delivery: Lead end-to-end recruiting for South Africa across campus, lateral, and international.
Plan and run recruiting cycles with a strong focus on candidate experience and operational excellence.
Translate hiring plans into executable pipelines, SLAs, and calendars; maintain agility to address shifting priorities.
Establish and continuously refine best practices for Johannesburg and share learnings across Africa.
Branding, events & market engagement: Own employer branding strategy; plan and execute events and info sessions in Johannesburg and abroad.
Build and sustain relationships with schools and affiliates; co‑create flagship initiatives that elevate brand recognition and yield.
Partner with Marketing and local leaders to ensure consistent messaging and a compelling value proposition.
Team leadership & operations: Manage day-to-day recruiting operations (stand‑ups, workload allocation, interview scheduling, offer processes).
Coach and develop team members; set goals, provide feedback, and foster a continuous‑improvement culture.
Ensure all processes comply with BCG standards and relevant local legislation.
Analytics, reporting & budget: Monitor funnel health (sourcing → offers → acceptances), diagnose bottlenecks, and drive corrective actions.
Deliver regular reports and hiring forecasts to leadership; track diversity and intake goals.
Own the recruiting budget; manage vendor spend, events, and tools with strong ROI discipline.
Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking; use insights to inform strategy and refine tactics.
Stakeholder partnership: Partner with Practice Areas and global / regional teams (incl. Digital / BCG X) to shape targeted campaigns and calibrate profiles.
Align on levels and compensation with relevant stakeholders; ensure seamless lateral‑hire integration in Johannesburg.
Build trusted‑advisor relationships with senior leaders through clear insights and recommendations.
Tools, process & change: Drive adoption of recruiting tools (e.g., ATS/CRM) and standard operating procedures.
Document processes, maintain playbooks, and ensure high‑quality, consistent candidate communications.
Cross‑Africa alignment: Contribute to a strong “One Africa” recruiting approach by sharing benchmarks, codifying best practices, and coordinating cross‑office initiatives where beneficial.
