Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail‑oriented Receptionist / Bookkeeper to join our growing team.

This dual role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety — greeting clients and managing front‑office duties while also handling the day‑to‑day bookkeeping and administrative tasks that keep our business running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reception & Administration: Serve as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and callers — providing a warm and professional welcome.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and general inquiries.
  • Schedule appointments and assist with auction‑related communications.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized reception area and office.
  • Support the team with administrative tasks, including document preparation and filing.
  • Bookkeeping & Financial Administration: Record and reconcile daily financial transactions (sales, payments, expenses, etc.).
  • Process invoices, receipts, and vendor payments.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records using accounting software.
  • Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and reporting.
  • Prepare basic financial summaries and assist external accountants when needed.
  • Manage petty cash and support auction payment processing.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a receptionist, bookkeeper, or administrative assistant (experience in auction, retail, or hospitality industries an advantage).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record‑keeping.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic accounting software.
