Job summary

A leading mining company in Rustenburg is seeking a Receiving Clerk to accurately process all deliveries. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, experience with SAP, and a Grade 12 certificate with Accounting or Mathematics. Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, communicating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with internal policies. This role also requires a good understanding of inventory management and effective record-keeping.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 Year relevant experience in the finance department (Administration function) is essential.
  • Experience in compiling reports and working with data analysis is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately receive, redirect, and process all deliveries.
  • Maintain and update filing, inventory, and database systems.
  • Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data to be entered.
  • Communicate with customers and employees to answer questions.
  • Check deadlines on incoming requests to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining an effective records management system.
  • Check Delivery Notes against Orders on SAP and direct deliveries.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
  • Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4) with Accounting/Mathematics is essential
  • SAP Materials module (PTP) skills is essential
  • Minimum of 1 Year relevant experience in finance department (Administration function) is essential
  • Experience in excel, word and Microsoft PowerPoint is essential
  • Experience in working with invoices and creating purchase orders is an advantage
  • Experience in compiling reports and working with data analysing is an advantage
Competencies
  • Must have good administrative skills
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with people of all cultures and levels
  • Reporting Skill is an advantage
  • Understanding and acceptance of Impala's code of conduct, policies and procedures is essential.
Key Performance Areas
  • Maintaining and updating filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or electronically in accordance departmental systems and procedures.
  • Compiling, sorting, and verifying accuracy of data to be entered.
  • Reviewing files, records, and other documents in order to obtain information and respond to requests.
  • Communicating with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders, and address complaints.
  • Checking deadlines on incoming requests to ensure compliance.
  • Assisting in establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient records management system.
  • Receiving Clerk - Specific duties:
  • Check Delivery Notes against Orders on SAP Print the Receiving Documents Direct deliveries to the correct offloading locations Verify the description, quantity and quality (visual inspection) of goods against Delivery documentation Direct Suppliers to the correct offloading point or bin location Sign Delivery Notes (Company No and Signature) and hand over copies to the drivers Ensure any discrepancies are signed for by both parties (delivering and receiving) Close off the Receipt of Goods and hand over copies to the drivers File original Delivery Notes and copies of Goods Received Notes. Ensure filing system is maintained
