Dispatch and Receiving Clerk

Our client in the printing industry is seeking an experienced Dispatch and Receiving Clerk in Bloemfontein to manage stock control, procurement, dispatch, and receiving functions within a fast-paced printing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate stock management, timely dispatch, and effective coordination with suppliers, customers, and internal departments.

Minimum Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in stock control
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans
  • Printing industry experience will be advantageous
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to be available before and after hours when required

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Arrange clearance and collection of all stock and jobs
  • Oversee scheduling, staging, tracking, and reporting of daily dispatch activities (OTD list)
  • Interface with customers and internal departments regarding job status and deliveries
  • Procure stock for all entities and ensure accuracy of orders received
  • Issue and process purchase orders daily for all stock ordered by SA Print Group
  • Cancel double scan sheets and ensure scanning systems are kept up to date
  • Maintain accurate records of goods received and dispatched
  • Implement and manage a comprehensive stock control system, including weekly stock reconciliation
  • Apply consistent stock control procedures internally and within dispatch and receiving
  • Maintain acceptable stock levels at all times
  • Arrange internal distribution of goods and manage client-supplied materials
  • Arrange external couriers, waybills, and transport for specific jobs
  • Organize dispatch of completed jobs with correct documentation and job cards
  • Collate purchase orders and requisitions with ordered materials and supplies
  • Obtain and negotiate supplier pricing to update SA Print Group pricing
  • Control and manage maintenance of fleet vehicles and forklifts
  • Arrange and monitor all production-oriented outsourcing to suppliers
  • Monitor production activities within SA Print Group
  • Assist with client queries and job tracking
  • Manage the driver and storeroom assistant
  • Review inventories, orders, and deliveries
  • Manage ordering and administration of all imported goods and machinery, including liaising with Nedbank on import payments and required documentation
Remuneration
  • R13 000 - R22 000 Cost to company, depending on experience
  • Pension fund contribution after 12 months
  • Company cellphone and laptop will be provided
Working hours
  • Monday to Friday: 08h00 to 17h00
