Key Output
- Achieve warranty balance score card targets and KPI’s
- Control cost effectively on normal types of warranty claims
- Provide support for Warranty resolution
- Ensure effective self-management and performance ownership, driving warranty and service WIP
- Provide feedback on warranty issues to supervisors and artisans
- Decide on Warranty fitness of jobs / Prepare and ensure warranty claims are claim fit
- Develop / training on warranty skills for supervisors and artisans
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Grade 12
- Qualified Artisan will be advantages, (Mechanic in relevant trade e.g Diesel Mechanic/ Heavy Equipment Mechanic or relevant qualification
- 4 year’s post apprentice/learnership experience (1 years post red seal qualification as an artisan)
- Machine general technical knowledge and applied skills also understand warranty service principles
- Applicable product knowledge and good understanding of Caterpillar warranty process / system
- Basic financial acumen L1, Influencing and negotiating L1
- Technical report writing skill L1, Customer responsiveness L1
- Organisational awareness L1, Attention to detail L1
- Computer literate (MS Office, SIS & SAP/CRM – Warranty role) a must
- Problem solving and failure analysis skills L1
