Job description

Key Output

• To effectively perform and expedite all warehouse related tasks – binning, picking, packing, dispatching, and building of hoses
• Ensure the Parts warehouse meets all customer parts requirements (internal and external)
• Ensure that all warehouse related items are completed to prevent any unnecessary specials which contribute negatively to operation costs
• Operate handheld scanning device
• Understand all targets and deadlines related to the warehouse
• Ensure duties are carried out to achieve warehouse performance standards
• Comply with order specifications by customers within time and quality standards
• Ensure warehouse procedures are carried out safely in compliance with SOPs
• Accountable for all warehouse assistant duties relating to KPIs for assembly of hydraulic hoses
• Safety management – comply with OSHA/SHEQ safety requirements; conduct risk analysis before performing any task (Functional Knowledge 3)
• Unloading of stock receivables and unpacking
• Receiving of stock receivables and binning of stock receivables
• New material allocation of stock receivables (Problem Solving 3)
• Bin changes to overflowing materials in current stock location
• Picking outbound orders for internal and external customers
• Packing outbound orders for internal and external customers
• Dispatching of outbound orders for internal and external customers
• Cycle counting of current stock, bin audit in preparation of cycle counts, inbound and outbound coordination of trucks
• Internal and external credit returns
• Claim of short receivables (must be some admin block stock management)
• Sales order stock management
• Contamination control, housekeeping, maintain 6S operating conditions, report management
• May have to solve customer related queries at a low level
• Ability to carry out stock count activities
• Verify against HIS to validate correct specifications / requirements
• Assemble hose to Caterpillar specification
• Tag hose with correct information, seal and dispatch as required, sign off hose assembly in hose register
• Build hydraulic hoses per sample as and when required

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Matric/Grade 12
• 1 year warehouse, parts, experience of technical fundamentals
• Understanding of warehouse ERP system – SAP EWM
• Understanding and compliance to warehouse SOPs
• Some candidates will be required to acquire forklift driving training
