Job summary

Kraken is seeking a React Native engineer to join a cross-functional Consumer pod, building and scaling core Krak experiences for a global user base. You will ship features in the Krak app with emphasis on UX, performance, and reliability, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams.

You will design and implement mobile interfaces, own delivery from conception to post-launch iteration, and help raise the bar on code quality and shared tooling across the mobile codebase.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience with web or mobile focus.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and React Native experience.
• Experience integrating and consuming APIs with security and performance in mind.
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks and modern build pipelines.
• Solid understanding of UI/UX best practices and customer-centric delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
• Own end-to-end delivery of Krak features from design to release and iteration.
• Build maintainable, performant screens and components following architecture patterns.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and trade-offs within your pod.
• Collaborate with Product, Designers, and Rust backend engineers to deliver value.
• Improve code quality and tooling across the Krak mobile codebase.
