Qualifications

• National N Diploma / National Diploma Electrical at NQF 6 with 240 Credits.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical roles within Power Generation, Distribution or Transmission.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with focus on reliability.
• Ability to write clear technical reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform point-to-point testing of plant during maintenance or commissioning.
• Update and maintain accurate SCADA plant database.
• Build 1-line SCADA displays for control rooms.
• Provision of technical services to support operations.
• Perform and contribute to design work.
• Contribute to integrity of the asset base.
• Deliver standardisation outputs.
• Configure and maintain EMS workstations and IT infrastructure (Linux/Windows).
• Support and maintain EMS SCADA systems, including data acquisition, processing, visualization.
• Assist in setup, monitoring and maintenance of telecommunications links to substations for EMS data flow.
