Key Responsibilities

• Group D: Perform manual and technical tasks related to track maintenance, signaling, loading/unloading, and other essential railway operations.

• Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP): Assist the Loco Pilot in operating locomotives safely and efficiently while adhering to all operational protocols and safety standards.

• Technician: Carry out repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of railway machinery, electrical systems, and infrastructure equipment to minimize downtime and enhance safety.

• Monitor and report any irregularities or faults in railway systems promptly.

• Follow strict safety guidelines and standard operating procedures at all times.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and operational activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Educational qualification as prescribed by the Railway Recruitment Board for Group D, ALP, and Technician posts (typically 10th/12th pass or ITI/Diploma depending on the position).

• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems for technical roles.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Good physical fitness and stamina, especially for Group D roles involving manual labor.

• Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members.

• Willingness to work in shifts, including night and weekend shifts, as required by railway operations.

Experience

• Freshers are encouraged to apply as on-the-job training will be provided.

• Prior experience in railway operations or maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory.

Working Hours

• Shifts may vary depending on operational requirements and location.

• Candidates must be flexible to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

• Typical shift duration: 8 to 12 hours with adequate breaks and compliance with labor laws.
