A medical staffing agency in Cape Town is seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Radiographer to join their friendly team. This role involves operating nuclear medicine equipment, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and providing patient care. Candidates must have HPCSA registration, be transport ready, and available for after-hours calls. The position offers a supportive work environment in a beautiful location.
Qualification as Nuclear Medicine Radiographer. Current registration with HPCSA. Own reliable transport. Availability to be on call and to work after hours as required. Sound knowledge of hot lab operation and maintenance, radiopharmaceutical administration and nuclear medicine imaging procedures. Skill and patience in patient care and communicating with patients. Knowledge of and attention to radiation protection, infection control and all other aspects of patient- and staff safety in a nuclear medicine department. Knowledge of quality control and care of gamma cameras and other nuclear medicine equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to take on administrative and reception tasks as required. The main purpose of this position: Our clients practice comprises two sites. Our patients represent all walks of life and present a widely varying range of pathologies. Our after-hours work is very limited and rotated between the radiographers. The position will suit an enthusiastic candidate, wanting to join a warm and friendly team who enjoy working together.
