The Key Recruitment Group is seeking a Well-established manufacturer to hire an experienced R&D Chemist in Muizenberg. You will oversee quality assurance, support new product development, regulatory compliance and maintain technical documentation.

Based in Muizenberg, the role requires a B.Sc or B.Tech in Chemistry and at least 5 years in QA and R&D, with strong analytical capabilities and cross-functional collaboration. Salary is negotiable around R35k per month.

• At least 5 years' experience in Quality Assurance and R&D.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support a team of laboratory technicians.
• Conduct chemical analyses on raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
• Implement and maintain analytical testing methods to ensure product specifications are achieved.
• Collaborate with laboratory and R&D teams to optimise product formulations.
• Participate in new product development, feasibility studies, process optimisation and formulation improvements.
• Assist with pilot-scale trials and evaluate new product formulations.
• Prepare documentation for new product registrations and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation relating to product specifications, quality control and manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical documentation and support during internal and external audits.
• Investigate product quality complaints, conduct root-cause analysis and assist with corrective actions.
• Provide technical assistance across departments when operationally required.
