A well-established construction firm based in Brackenfell, Cape Town, is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a Btech or BSc in Quantity Surveying and have 4-8 years of experience. Responsibilities include cost estimation, procurement advice, and contract administration. The role requires strong financial expertise, knowledge of contractual obligations, and excellent communication skills. Qualifications

• Btech QS or BSc QS (or in process).
• 4 - 8 Years' experience.
• Professional registration will be advantageous.
• Computer literate in Excel and MS Office.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Preparing initial estimates, cost plans, and feasibility studies.
• Developing Bills of Quantities (BoQ), tender documents, and contracts.
• Identifying and analyzing potential financial and contractual risks.
• Assisting with sourcing materials, selecting contractors, and tendering.
• Monitoring project spending, tracking variations, and managing budgets.
• Measuring and valuing work done for payment certificates.
• Managing head contracts, sub-contracts, and payments.
• Communicating with clients, site managers, architects, and subcontractors.
• Valuing variations and finalizing project accounts.
• Handling claims and contractual issues.
• Providing advice on long-term maintenance and running costs.
