Job description

We are looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join our growing construction consultancy team. You will manage cost planning, procurement and contract administration for building services (MEP) projects across commercial, residential and institutional sectors.

Location: Ireland

Key requirement
  • Degree in Quantity surveying, construction management or related discipline
  • RICS (MRICS/AssoRICS) or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in building services QS role on projects
  • Strong knowledge on MEP systems, cost databases (SPIR, BCI) and BIM workflows
  • Proficiency with QS Software (CATO, CostX, Procore) and MS office suite
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Key responsibility
  • Prepare and maintain cost plans, BOQS, and cost reports for MEP elements
  • Conduct feasibility studies, value engineering and risk assessments
  • Collaborate with design teams, engineers and clients to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with budgets
  • Manage tender processes, evaluate bids and negotiate contracts
  • Monitor project expenditure, change orders and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide cost advice on design changes, VE options and sustainability initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with RICS standards, Irish building regulations and CDM requirements
  • Support the project team with claims, disputes and final account settlements
  • British/EU passport will be advantageous
