Job summary

A leading global productivity partner is seeking a Quality Technician in Centurion, Pretoria. You will ensure that electronic products meet quality standards before dispatch by performing inspections, conducting tests, and collaborating with teams to resolve issues. Ideal candidates should have Matric and a technical diploma in electronics or quality control, along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in quality control.

Job description

Mission of the role : Join us as a Quality Technician.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all electronic products, specifically collision avoidance systems, meet the company's quality standards before they are dispatched to clients.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining product reliability, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform final inspections on electronic products before packaging and dispatch.
  • Verify that all components are correctly assembled and functioning according to specifications.
  • Conduct functional and visual tests using appropriate tools and procedures.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Identify and report non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and relevant industry regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department.
  • Uphold Epiroc's values and "The Epiroc Way" in all internal and external interactions.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties within scope of competence.
Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electronic product inspection or quality control.
  • Familiarity with electronic testing equipment and procedures.
  • Experience in the mining or industrial electronics sector is advantageous.
