The South African Breweries is seeking a senior Quality Assurance leader to manage and support the QA team across the value stream. The role focuses on maintaining product quality and integrity, while aligning with Environmental, Health and Safety standards.

You will lead QA governance, develop employees, and drive continuous improvement in quality processes within the brewing and packaging environment, ensuring regulatory compliance and strong supplier partnerships.

The key purpose is manage, lead and support the Quality Assurance team and to support internal customers (Plant Management S&D, and Manufacturing and Innovation/marketing) so that product quality and integrity are maintained across the value stream and business is conducted in an environmentally friendly and safe manner.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Verification of the execution of the procedures to ensure that they comply with the standards
• Ensure that equipment is calibrated and is functioning as per original standard
• Highlight of any deviations to the Brewing manager, Packaging manager and Plant manager for action and stopping of the process when necessary
• Manage quality control environment
• Conform to value chain requirements

• Optimise the availability of measuring equipment
• Maintain and control consumable stock levels
• Optimise quality control management system

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Microbiology
• 2- 3 Years in Laboratory, Brewing or Packaging operation
• Understanding of process control within a brewing and packaging process environment
