Responsibilities
Quality Systems and Compliance
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety national legislation, chemical handling protocols, and ESD protection standards.
- Lead and coordinate internal, external customer and supplier audits. Track and close non-conformances with measurable corrective actions and deadlines.
- Maintain and control documentation including SOPs, inspection/testing procedures, process-specific work instructions, FMEA, PFMEA, control plans, risk registers and audit logs.
- Conduct Management Review meetings presenting data on customer satisfaction, audit outcomes, NCR trends and improvement plans.
- Ensure full audit readiness across departments, enforcing process discipline, traceability and version control.
- Drive preventive actions by analyzing trends, leading root cause analysis, teams and integrating lessons learned into documented procedures.
Quality Operations & Team Management
- Manage daily activities of all quality personnel including Inspectors, Controllers, AOI Inspectors and the Quality Supervisor.
- Lead NCAR processes for customer complaints, internal failures and non-conformances.
- Ensure defect traceability, segregation of non-conforming parts, and appropriate disposition (rework, scrap).
- Monitor and report production quality performance including yields, escape rates and KPIs.
- Develop and oversee Quality Plans and Product Quality Specifications for customer contracts.
- Facilitate QA meetings, factory reviews and team performance discussions.
- Mentor the quality team, oversee training on IPC standards and enforce HR-compliant performance management.
SHEQ Governance & Compliance
- Implement and maintain SHEQ systems in compliance with relevant legal requirements.
- Coordinate internal SHEQ audits, safety committee meetings and employee training.
- Oversee incident investigations and corrective actions for near-misses and safety breaches.
- Conduct evacuation drills, manage hazardous material protocols and ensure waste disposal procedures are followed.
- Maintain incident logs, legal registers and environmental compliance records.
Strategic Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Lead the development and execution of the Quality strategic roadmap in line with business goals.
- Initiate improvement projects using 8D, Fishbone and 5 Whys.
- Drive innovation in quality tools and systems to enhance data collection and decision making.
- Align quality initiatives with customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Technology or related discipline.
- 5-7 years experience in Quality Assurance and SHEQ management, ideally in electronics manufacturing.
- Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001; ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 knowledge preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of IPC-A-610 / 620, PCBA inspection techniques and electronics manufacturing standards.
- Proficient in root cause analysis, QMS software, MS Office and data interpretation.
- Proven leadership in cross-functional teams, training and conflict resolution.
- Advanced competency in KPI reporting, quality documentation and compliance monitoring.
