Job summary

A leading defence manufacturing company in Midrand, Gauteng is seeking a Quality Manager responsible for ensuring consistent quality of production. The ideal candidate should have a qualification at NQF level 6 and over 8 years of experience in Quality Management within the Defence industry. The role encompasses the development of good manufacturing practices and documentation. Competitive salary is market related.

Qualifications

• 8 years' experience in Quality Management, Quality Control, and Assurance in the Manufacturing / Defence Industry.
• Good understanding of quality principles, systems, methods, tools, and standards applicable in the Defence sector.
• Experience in Engineering development, Production and Product Support.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good manufacturing practice systems.
• Validate processes and provide accurate documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Quality Management Qualification to the NQF level 6 / Technical Diploma.
• 8 years' experience in the field of Quality Management, Quality Control and Assurance in the Manufacturing / Defence Industry.
• Good understanding of quality principles, systems, methods, tools, and standards applicable in the Defence sector (EN / ISO) and Quality Audits.
• Experience in Project Management to Engineering development, Production and Product Support.
• Identifying and developing operations focused strategies and plans in support of the company strategies.
