Job summary

A leading logistics company in Johannesburg seeks an experienced welder to ensure all activities meet approved industry standards. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, documenting findings, and developing quality control documentation. Ideal candidates have Matric, attention to detail, and experience in the trailer/tanker industry is a plus. The role may require overtime work.

Qualifications

  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawing requirements.
  • Previous experience in trailer / tanker / truck industry will be an advantage.
  • Willing to work overtime when required.

  • Performing visual and other inspections as required.
  • Finding and recording any welding defects or non-conformances.
  • Keeping accurate records of inspection data, test results and quality control documents.
  • Submitting reports to QC Manager, documenting inspection findings and corrective actions.
  • Developing and maintaining quality control documentation.
