Johnson Outdoors is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to support new product development with rigorous testing, documentation, and supplier collaboration. The role focuses on process conformity, MRB leadership, and continuous improvement across production lines and external suppliers.

The candidate will participate in FMEA initiatives, conduct audits, and help implement green initiatives within quality processes.

Jobbeschreibung

• Supports quality in new product processes by serving as member and/or resource on development teams.
• Writes, executes and reports test plans based upon scientific methods to support the new product process and on-going testing.
• Ongoing Quality Conformance
  • Provides receiving-inspection technical support and writing/reviewing receiving-inspection procedures.
  • Leads the material review board (MRB) and implements corrective actions internally and externally with suppliers.
  • Supports and or provides input for published monthly performance reports as well as identify areas for improvement.
  • Support engineering solutions to quality assurance.
  • Plans, controls and ensures process and product quality in accordance with quality principles, which include planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems.
  • Perform daily patrol inspections of production lines.
  • Conduct inspections of inbound components and final products.
  • Verify quality control updates and maintain quality trackers.
  • Document and implement changes to quality processes.
• FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis)
  • Understand issues through progression.
  • Testing and supplier interaction.
  • Internal CAR if needed for understanding of diagnosed issue.
  • Lead FMEA projects.
• Provides support in our efforts to continually make products greener by supporting our Environmental initiatives.
• Plans, conducts and report audits of suppliers.
• Interfaces with suppliers concerning quality issues (Non-Conformance CAR's) and represent Johnson Outdoors' interests.
• Evaluates defective parts returned from the field.
• Ensures compliance to all company quality policies.
