About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing enterprise situated in Polokwane, Limpopo , is actively seeking a seasoned Quality Control Manager . This critical role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's comprehensive quality management system. The successful candidate will lead a team of quality assurance professionals, ensuring that all products meet stringent internal and external standards. This position requires a meticulous approach, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of quality control methodologies within a production environment. The opportunity is based in the vibrant region of Polokwane, Limpopo .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust quality control policies, procedures, and standards.
• Oversee all aspects of the quality assurance process, from raw material inspection to final product release.
• Lead, train, and mentor the quality control team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Investigate customer complaints and product non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Analyze quality data, generate reports, and present findings to senior management.
• Ensure the facility and all processes comply with relevant industry regulations and certifications (e.g., ISO standards).
• Manage the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment.
• Collaborate closely with production, R&D, and purchasing departments to uphold product integrity.
• Champion a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in quality control/assurance, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably within the industry relevant to our client.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing office-based responsibilities with some remote work flexibility.
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Polokwane, Limpopo area.
