Job description

The Role:

This is a hands‑on role requiring a strong understanding of upholstery materials and quality control processes. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our in‑line and final product checks are rigorously followed, and that only the finest furniture leaves our facility.

You will work alongside an experienced QC Manager and will also supervise two junior Quality Controllers, supporting them in daily quality operations and upholding a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out and oversee quality inspections throughout the production process, including in‑line and final checks.
• Ensure adherence to internal quality standards and customer specifications.
• Work closely with production teams to identify, record, and resolve defects or quality issues.
• Train and mentor two junior QC staff, ensuring consistent performance and development.
• Liaise with the QC Manager to identify trends and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate quality records and inspection reports.
• Provide practical support on the shop floor and contribute to a team‑wide commitment to excellence.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Proven experience in quality control. Experience with leather and fabric upholstery furniture is advantageous
• A meticulous eye for detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies quickly.
• Practical, hands‑on approach with a calm, decisive mindset.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with production, design, and management teams.
