Quality Assurer

Aon South Africa is recruiting a Quality Assurer in our Portfolio Management department, based on a hybrid basis, from our Head Office in Sandton.

The role of a Quality Assurer is to ensure that new business policies are ‘entered into’ in line with the Insurer Binder mandates, adhering to the underwriting acceptance criteria, loaded accurately into the policy administration system and that anything outside of Aon’s legal responsibility has been authorized by an appropriate manager or by the insurer.

What the day will look like

Quality assurance auditing on all new business policies ‘entered-into’ within the personal lines division:

  • Conducts audits against the agreed underwriting acceptance criteria provided by Insurers
  • Conducts telephone call audits to ensure needs analysis completed and correct advice provided to client.
  • Conducts policy administration system check to ensure that information has been loaded correctly
  • Conducts compliance audit in respect of regulatory documentation has been sent to client at the correct touch points.
  • Conducts MOS audit.
  • Where a breach of the above is identified, escalation to appropriate colleague is performed and diarized until resolution.
  • In certain cases, contact new client directly for outstanding information (specific scenarios)
  • Meets with business (sales and product managers) to understand current concerns, focus and updates.
  • Participates in forums with product managers to enhance and assist with training for consultants (national).
  • Takes ownership for providing weekly training on breaches with the sales consultants.
  • Assists with ad hoc management requires in order to assist other teams within the personal lines division.
  • Ensures timeous and accurate preparation of the reporting portal recording quality assurance completed.
  • Understands how to prioritize own work and works independently within defined boundaries.
  • Responsible for adherence to minimum operating standards

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • NQF level 5 or higher
  • Must be registered as a representative with the FSB in terms of the FAIS Act
  • Must be registered as a licentiate with the IISA (or working towards)

  • Ability to communicate optimally
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
Knowledge
  • Individual with knowledge of the principles and practices within personal lines insurance category
  • Be computer literate with experience in MS Word & Excel
  • Very good knowledge of Policy wordings
  • Excellent knowledge of Underwriting Acceptance Criteria and risk mitigation principles
  • C360 policy administration system Champion (preferable)
  • Exposure to quality assurance auditing (preferable)
  • Exposure to working across teams (preferable)
Experience
  • Have proven experience in a similar or related role
