Job summary

A leading quality assurance firm in Gauteng is seeking a Quality Assurance Technologist to ensure quality and compliance in manufacturing. You will manage document control, oversee audits, and conduct investigations to ensure long-term solutions. The ideal candidate has a relevant degree and at least three years of experience in quality assurance, with strong communication and organisational skills. Job description
Role: Quality Assurance Technologist
Location: Johannesburg
Salary: Market Related Salary

In this role, you will be at the heart of ensuring quality and compliance every step of the way. You’ll maintain document control and accurate record-keeping, while also implementing and monitoring corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). Part of your journey will be to oversee audits, supplier visits, and verification testing, giving you exposure to both internal processes and external partners.

You’ll take ownership of managing non-conformances and conducting root cause investigations, making sure that the right solutions are put in place for long-term success. Driving the implementation of core quality standards will be central to your work, as well as managing the sites quality management system to keep everything aligned and effective.

Your role will also allow you to make a visible impact by implementing and monitoring prerequisite programmes (PRPs), serving as the pest control officer for the warehouse, and ensuring hygiene services and standards are consistently upheld. You’ll play a key part in shaping a culture of excellence by leading continuous improvement initiatives, monitoring and enforcing FIFO practices, and conducting sensory evaluations when needed.

This is a role where you won’t just be following processes—you’ll be driving them, improving them, and ensuring that quality remains at the core of everything we do.

Along with a relevant Bachelors Degree in Food Science or a related field / Advanced Diploma, you bring at least three years of experience in a quality assurance and manufacturing environment. You are confident in building relationships, leading by example, and delegating tasks when needed. With strong planning and organisational abilities, you thrive under pressure while keeping a clear focus on results. Self‑motivated and able to work independently, you also value teamwork and understand the importance of compliance and safety in every aspect of your work.
