Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for aQuality Advisorin Cape Town, South Africato be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Quality Advisor, you will be responsible for quality management and control in all SSO projects. Furthermore, provide core quality management support services throughout the structuring, delivery and operation phases of the projects, which include amongst other, quality assurance, process management, governance, competence, and quality control.

Main responsibilities
Operating System
  • Follow the guidelines and prescribed structures as outlined by the operating system
  • Provide continuous input towards improvement and optimization of the operating system
Support to Structuring Phase of projects
  • Ensure detailed engineering is implemented from the design stage
  • Assist project team completing detailed bid evaluations
  • Establish Quality Control and the Quality Management Plan
  • Provide advice on quality issues
  • Review all quality documents
  • Support to the project structuring phase as and when required by the Project Manager
Qualifications and competencies
  • National Diploma/Degree in Engineering
  • Degree in Quality Management Systems
  • Accreditation in ISO Auditing
  • 10+ years working experience in a construction project environment – supervisory/management role
  • 5+ years management of renewable energy construction
  • Management of all construction quality aspects including document control
  • Staff management, time management, cost management, quality management and production management expertise
  • Working experience of high voltage networks and sub-stations
  • Competent in navigating & applying Quality Management Systems
  • Experienced in working & complying to ISO 9001 2015 and IEC Standards
  • Fully computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
