Job summary

ESG Recruitment Limited in Johannesburg, Gauteng, seeks a qualified Millwright/Electrician for a hands-on maintenance role. You will oversee crane operation, read electrical drawings, build panels in-house, and perform PLC/Drive work to support melting, forging and general plant operations.

Requirements include Matric or N3, a red-seal Millwright or Wireman’s license, crane licence, and registration with the Department of Labour for a COC.

Qualifications

• Matric or N3 qualification.
• Qualified Millwright with red seal or Qualified Electrician Wireman’s License.
• Registered with Dept of Labour and ready to issue COC.
• Knowledge and experience of manufacturing/foundry equipment and machinery.
• Strong mathematical and technical skills with attention to detail.
• Valid Crane license.
• Must be available for standby.

Job description

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required

• Crane operation experience including a valid crane licence.
• Experience in the following is preferred: Industrial maintenance mixers, crane, JIB crane, transfer pots, general electrical, cooling towers, heat treatment furnace, dust extraction units and induction furnaces.
• Knowledge and experience in dismantling machinery, transferring equipment, interpreting blueprints, and installing equipment.
• Must be able to do electrical repairs on Induction furnaces, cranes, mixers, heat treatment furnaces, core shooters, mills, shot blast machines, pan mixers, conveyors, sand transfers, cooling towers, etc Conduct HT switch and testing Sound knowledge of PLC and Drives
• Must be able to read and understand electrical drawings
• Experience in building electrical panels in-house with drawings
• Must be medically fit to work without restrictions
• Candidate must be able to work independently
• Good communication skills

Minimum Education & Experience required

• Matric or N3
• Qualified Millwright with red seal or Qualified Electrician Wiremans License
• Registered with Dept of labor and ready to issue COC 3 to 5 years of work experience preferred
• Knowledge and experience of a manufacturing/foundry equipment and machinery
• Strong mathematical and technical skills with attention to detail
• Valid Crane license
• Must be available for standby
