Overview
Job Purpose: This role is responsible for the assessment of all claims received from the Branches and assist with branch enquiries. To resolve all claim/quality related queries.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Mathematics)
- Technical and/or Mechanical Training/Qualification (Diesel and/or Petrol)
- High level of competence in Microsoft applications especially Excel
- 2–3 years' experience in administration of claims and/or 5 years in counter and part sales (advantageous)
- Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data.
- Hands‑on commitment to getting the job done.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the claims received from the Branches.
- All claims from the public to be referred to Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Ensure that the correct paperwork is completed by branches and that all relevant information is on the paperwork.
- If the part details and what can be diagnosed as the problem do not correlate, the part should be returned to the customer together with a report of the findings.
- If the part is defective, a claim can be processed together with a report of the findings.
- All reports must be approved by the QC Manager before sending it out to the customer and/or Branch.
- All correct documentation must be completed and filed.
- Timeframe for dealing with claims is extremely important and needs to be finalised within 10 days of receiving the claim.
- When a claim needs to be sent to supplier and/or manufacturer for evaluation, this needs to be communicated to the customer.
Relationship Management
Liaise and communicate with other departments and ensure an effective interface is maintained in a positive and collaborative manner.
Work as part of the QC team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards and Company and Customer requirements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders/departments to ensure optimal performance.
