A construction firm is seeking a Project QA/QC Inspector for Electrical Works to manage the quality management system of a project in South Africa. The ideal candidate should have a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of QA/QC experience in site construction, particularly in windfarm projects. Key responsibilities include compiling inspection plans, conducting audits, and managing quality compliance.
Project QA / QC Inspector - Electrical Works. To assume the responsibility of the management, coordination and implementation of the quality management system for the project.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (N.Dip / B.Tech) or related technical discipline. Internal auditing ISO
Sound knowledge of Electrical network standards. Analytical & methodical approach to problem solving. Excellent communication skills (Verbal / Written) including preparing / compiling site quality reports. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Tools.
Compile / Review inspection & test plans, quality control plans (QCPs) and related inspection / testing records. Pile Work Package QA / QC Datapacks for each section of work. Pile reports on project quality (system / workmanship) compliance. The Management, issue and control of drawings and as-built records. Management of the project NCR system; Interface with Clientele and Project Management concerning project quality related defects and remedial actions. Conducting quality evaluations / audit of project subcontractors & suppliers. Assessment of critical materials delivered to site. Interface / Coordination with Laboratory services concerning site testing requirements. Internal auditing of the site QMS in terms of ISO.
