Job summary

Stefanutti Stocks Inland seeks a QA Manager to join the project team on a major multi-disciplinary construction contract in Gauteng, South Africa. The role centers on reducing the cost of quality, supporting Quality Managers, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards through active governance and reporting.

Applicants should hold a relevant civil/construction/quality degree and have 5–10 years of operational and system experience, including leadership of a quality department.

Qualifications

• Must hold Grade 12 and a relevant Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management or related field.
• ISO 9001:2015 Awareness and hands-on implementation experience.
• Experience leading a multi-disciplinary quality department on large contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and minimize the cost of quality on the contract.
• Support Quality Managers with action plans when trends are identified.
• Ensure compliance with internal/external standards through regular meetings with stakeholders.
• Provide operational and technical support to ensure project specs are met.
• Offer data-driven feedback and collaborate with Discipline Managers to resolve non-conformities.
• Coordinate with Client and key players to standardize Quality Control methodologies.
• Assist with critical operational elements and activities on the contract.
• Plan, monitor, and improve Quality Control and Assurance requirements.
• Liaise with teams to ensure uniform application of QC processes.

Stefanutti Stocks Inland a leading construction company involved in the delivery of a major Multi-Disciplinary Construction Project in South Africa is a seeking QA Manager to join the project team

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and minimizing the “Cost” of Quality on the contract.
• Aiding the Quality Managers on the contract in ensuring suitable action plans / solutions are instituted where trends have been identified.
• Ensure compliance with the relevant internal and external standards on the contract through regular meetings with Quality Managers, operational heads and Client representatives.
• Provide support to the Quality Managers and operations, when necessary, with regards to complying with the relevant project specifications.
• Providing technical and system support to operations.
• Providing continuous feedback regarding operational issues and assisting the Discipline Managers on the contract by providing suitable solutions to rectify the non-conformities.
• Liaise with Client and all other relevant key role players to establish uniformity and standardization in Quality Control methodologies.
• Provide support where required in conjunction with the Quality Managers on the contract regarding critical operational elements and activities
• Manage the planning, monitoring and improvement of Quality Control and Assurance requirements on the contract

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric
• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management or a related field.
• ISO 9001: 2015 Awareness.
• ISO 9001: 2015 Implementation.
• ISO 9001: 2015 Internal Auditor.
• Experience in the ACC digital software would be beneficial.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 -10 years’ operational and system experience within the industry.
• Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary quality department on a contract
