Job summary

Pinewood.AI is seeking a technically strong QA Engineer to own and deliver our quality strategy for the Automotive Intelligence Platform. You will focus on thoughtful, risk-based testing, clear communication, and collaboration with engineering and product teams to ensure features are fit for purpose, reliable, and releasable.

We value a hands-on tester with a strong manual testing mindset who also has automation exposure.

Qualifications

• Strong manual testing mindset
• Experience with automation testing
• Agile environment exposure
• Solid understanding of testing principles and techniques
• Ability to test across browsers, devices, and environments
• Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
• API testing basics (e.g. Postman)
• Comfortable with basic SQL or equivalent
• Version control familiarity (Git)

Responsibilities

• Own manual testing for assigned features from refinement to release
• Design and execute meaningful test scenarios
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and integration testing
• Validate requirements and acceptance criteria
• Identify risks and defects early with strong reproduction steps
• Provide go/no-go quality assessments for releases
• Collaborate with developers for root-cause analysis
• Retest fixes and verify acceptance
• Engage in backlog refinement, planning and retros
• Shift left in development cycle
• Work in hybrid model (approx. 2/3 days onsite)
• Communicate quality status and risks clearly
• Contribute ideas to improve QA practices
