Job summary

A well-known recruitment agency is seeking a QA Compliance Clerk based in Cape Town. The successful candidate will manage quality performance areas such as Change Control, equipment calibrations, and compliance with GMP/QMS standards. This role requires a minimum of 3–5 years' experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment and relevant qualifications. Strong communication and teamwork skills are also essential. A competitive salary is offered.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent.
  • Relevant tertiary or Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant Qualification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Change Control management.
  • Experience in internal and supplier auditing.
  • Experience in calibrations.
  • Validation experience advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience in ISO/PICS/GMP standards (e.g., ISO/SAHPRA).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage Change Controls for proper documentation and assessment.
  • Oversee progress of change control activities for timely implementation.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication between QA, R&D, and Production.
  • Monitor change status to ensure compliance within timelines.
  • Assist with calibration and maintenance of equipment.
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits as per GMP and ISO requirements.
  • Perform GMP walkabouts to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with investigations and corrective actions.
  • Conduct GMP personnel training and new employee inductions.
  • Support validation operations through conducting validation protocols.
