A maritime staffing agency is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain public areas on board. Responsibilities include cleaning hallways, lobbies, and restrooms, responding to guest inquiries, and collaborating with other crew members. Candidates should have a high school diploma, attention to detail, and preferably previous housekeeping experience. Flexible hours, including nights and weekends, may be required.
- Clean and maintain all public areas, including but not limited to, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and lounges
- Vacuum, dust, and polish all surfaces in public areas
- Empty trash and replace garbage bags as needed
- Clean and restock restrooms with necessary supplies
- Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department
- Assist with setting up and breaking down public areas for events or activities
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request restocking when necessary
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and healthy environment for guests and crew members
- Work collaboratively with other crew members to ensure a seamless and efficient operation of the ship
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and pushing heavy equipment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
