Registered Nurse with ECT experience (Mental Health Clinic) - Pretoria

Our client, a Mental Health Clinic, based in Pretoria, is seeking to recruit a Senior Registered Nurse with experience in electroconvulsive therapy and dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in a psychiatric healthcare environment
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, medical situations and vital signs as needed
• Accurate clinical evaluation of patient complaints, including initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments
• Maintain accurate reporting and record keeping
• Deliver appropriate information to healthcare users in a manner that is sensitive to their conditions and level of understanding
• Explain the potential side effects of medication and provide patients with information and advice on prescribed medication
• Obtaining a patient history and performing physical examinations
• Interpreting findings and formulating a diagnosis for common and emergency conditions
• Stock control
• Working hours : As per work schedule with variations and in accordance with your contract of employment.
• H / monthWilling to be on standby and work overtime / shifts in case of emergencies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Relevant Nursing qualification (BCur / Diploma)
• Dispensing license (preferred)
• Minimum years' experience as Registered Nurse

• SANC registered
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transport
• Fluent in Afrikaans & English (verbal & written)
