Mission of the role:
Join us as a Sales Application Engineer - Collision Avoidance Systems. You will play a key role in supporting sales by providing technical expertise and creating tailored solutions based on customer needs. Collaborating with sales, product, and deployment teams, you will help drive adoption of CAS technologies in mining environments.
Your Mission:
- Collaborate with regional sales teams to support customer engagements and secure deals.
- Conduct technical product demonstrations for prospective and existing customers.
- Contribute to proposal and tender development (e.g., RFIs, RFQs, and customer tenders), ensuring technical accuracy and competitiveness.
- Provide technical recommendations based on risk assessments, ensuring solutions align with best practices and system capabilities.
- Equip sales teams with the knowledge and tools to address technical inquiries confidently.
- Act as the liaison between customers and engineering/product teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Will conduct any other function or duty as may be required in terms of "The Epiroc Way."
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering or a related technical field.
- 2–5 years of experience in technical sales or engineering support roles within the mining or industrial technology sectors.
- Experience in Collision Avoidance Systems is essential
- Experience with digital safety solutions and industrial automation systems.
- Proven track record of supporting sales teams and engaging directly with customers.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management and customer deployment processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-friendly language.
- Sales acumen with a strong customer-centric mindset.

The Role
We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Sales Engineer to join our team. This position requires both technical expertise and sales acumen, helping clients understand how Sharpshell's engineering and plant maintenance services deliver measurable value. This role is best suited for a sales engineer capable to create a sales pipeline that ensures our execution teams are always busy.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of engineering, plant maintenance, fabrication and corrosion protection services.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships across petrochemical, mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
- Engage at all organizational levels – from engineers and foremen to technical buyers.
- Identify new business opportunities, qualify prospects, and build a healthy pipeline.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive technical presentations, proposals, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to ensure client solutions are feasible and tailored.
- Negotiate effectively, overcome objections, and close sales with consistent revenue growth.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports aligned with company growth targets.
- Represent Sharpshell at client meetings, and site visits.

Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related) OR proven experience in technical sales.
- Proven track record of creating a sales pipeline meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience selling into industrial environments (oil & gas, petrochemicals, power, or mining preferred).
- Valid driver\'s license and willingness to travel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
