Durban
As the Proposals Engineer, youll be the backbone of our project bidding process creating precise, cost-effective proposals and estimates that help drive revenue and profitability. Your responsibilities will include:
Engaging with clients to solicit and interpret project enquiries.
Reviewing RFQs and defining scopes of work.
Collaborating with Sales, Projects, Drawing Office and suppliers.
Preparing detailed cost and time estimates.
Compiling tender/proposal documentation (technical & commercial).
Participating in client site visits and boiler inspections.
Updating our proposal database and contributing to sales strategy.
BTech/BSc (preferred) or National Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Above-average performance in Mathematics, Thermo-Dynamics, Strength of Materials, and Technical Drawing.
A valid drivers licence and your own reliable vehicle.
Minimum 3 years in a project-based engineering environment with hands-on exposure.
3 years in the Industrial Watertube Boiler sector, with knowledge of boiler components.
Exposure to Drawing Office, Sales, Projects, or Contracts departments.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Strong grasp of technical drawings and engineering concepts.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and MS Projects.
Understanding of contractual terms (e.g., FIDIC, GCC).
