LOOKING FOR STELLAR TOP CANDIDATES IN SOUTH AFRICA Position : Valuation Associate Work Hours : 9 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM Atlantic Time Pay Range : $1,–$1, / month (Final offer depends on client approval and overall assessment of candidate skills and experience) Work Location : REMOTE Work Type : Full-Time Independent Contractor

Role Overview This is an integrated role that combines the hands‑on technical expertise of property valuation with essential back‑office analytical support.

The Valuation Surveyor Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and professional quality of the company's valuation reports, from initial data collection to final production.

Key Responsibilities This role encompasses both the technical fieldwork and direct reporting functions of property valuation, as well as the critical back‑office support required for high‑quality report production and data integrity.

Property Valuation Inspection Collect data from detailed property inspections which would assess value, condition, and potential risks across various property sectors (residential, commercial, industrial).

Apply various valuation methodologies (direct comparison, income capitalization, cost approach) to accurately determine property values.

Prepare and finalize accurate, comprehensive valuation reports in full compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards (e.g., API, RICS, IVSC guidelines), and client requirements.

Ensure all valuations adhere to professional standards and stay updated on legal, financial, and regulatory changes impacting property valuations.

Report Production Data Analysis Perform preliminary quality assurance on reports, proactively identifying and resolving missing information, data discrepancies, or inconsistencies.

Format and finalize reports using the company's standard template, ensuring a professional and consistent presentation (a critical back‑end focus).

Execute basic financial and valuation calculations , including rebuild cost estimations and commercial rent analyses.

Pull, organize, and manage comparable property sales data from both internal databases and external market sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

Market Research Collaboration Regularly collect and analyze local property market trends, zoning laws, and property development trends to provide informed insights for valuations and reports.

Work closely with Valuation Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, and other internal specialists to support the efficient production of reports and deliver holistic property services.

Maintain the company's property data database by regularly collecting and inputting market sales data.

Willingness to travel locally or regionally for site inspections as required.

Qualifications Experience Education : A Bachelor's degree in Property, Valuation, Finance, or a related field is required.

Experience: Proven experience in property valuation , data analysis, or a back‑office support role is essential.

Professional Affiliation : Membership or eligibility for membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., API, RICS) is strongly preferred.

Technical Proficiency : Strong proficiency in MS Ofiice valuation software / tools and relevant software for data management and report formatting is necessary.

Geographic Preference : Candidates based in South Africa are preferred .

Key Competencies Exceptional Attention to Detail : A critical requirement for both fieldwork and report accuracy, minimizing review time and ensuring integrity.

Strong Critical Thinking Problem‑Solving : Ability to proactively identify and resolve complex valuation issues, data inconsistencies, and potential errors.

Excellent Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, including Excellent Written English for creating clear, professional, and well‑articulated reports.

Workload Management : Proven ability to manage a consistent, diverse workload, manage multiple projects, and adhere to strict production deadlines .
