A luxury and commercial property developer in South Africa is seeking a Property Acquisition Specialist. This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and securing high-potential land and property opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and 3-5 years' experience in property development, with strong skills in market intelligence and stakeholder engagement.

Our client, a luxury and commercial Property Developer in South Africa, needs a strong Property Acquisition Specialist who will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and securing high-potential land and property opportunities.

Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in:
    • Property Studies
    • Urban/Town Planning
    • Real Estate
    • Development Studies
    • Civil Engineering (with planning knowledge ideally)
  • 3–5 years’ experience in acquisition roles and property development or town planning
  • Experience conducting feasibility-level planning assessments.
  • Experience dealing with Johannesburg (Midrand & Bryanston) municipal planning departments and Stakeholder Departments (Joburg Water, Johannesburg Roads Agency etc.)
  • Strong network with planners, brokers, and property professionals.
  • The role requires strong market intelligence, financial analysis capability, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder engagement including landowners, brokers, municipalities, lawyers, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and securing high-potential land and property opportunities that align with the company’s development and investment strategy.

This role directly supports the company’s growth pipeline and ensures a continuous flow of feasible development opportunities.
