Position Overview
Team Manager – Managed Services (Cape Town).
Responsible for client deliverables and managing the Property Accounting team in South Africa, supporting the UK region and working UK hours (10:30 SA time to 19:30 during daylight saving).
Key Responsibilities
- Drive team metrics including revenue, utilisation, engagement management, client satisfaction and delivery efficiency.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and training; distribute work and ensure engagements are completed successfully.
- Act as a resource for delivery and escalations, participate in client committees and cross‑departmental communication.
- Manage about 50% of the time on people management: conduct 1:1s, team check‑ins, full performance review process, onboarding, training, leave and schedules.
- Collaborate with Team Leads, Managers, Senior Management, HR/TA for recruitment, selection and interview process.
- Collaborate with business leaders across regions to strengthen team culture and delivery excellence.
- Act as client lead on engagements, supporting upskilling of the team and ensuring delivery of complex services.
- Maintain accurate and timely administrative tasks and time‑consumption reports.
- Filter team questions to support core processes and enabling functions.
- Assist leadership team with special projects, operating mechanisms and initiatives for Managed Services.
- Develop strong relationships with cross‑functional partners.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK industry‑specific market segments, rules, SOPs and best practices for property accounting and/or lease administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Subject‑matter expert in at least one MRI Property Management software (QubePM, Horizon or ProLease Enterprise).
- Experience as an end‑user of these systems.
- Ideal: previous management experience.
- Ability to work independently, under deadlines, with strong organisational skills and prioritisation.
- High degree of dependability, motivation and flexibility.
