Job description

Our client, a leader in the Solar PV industry, isseeking an experienced Projects Development Expert with a strongbackground in investment and project delivery. This role, open tolocations across Africa, will oversee the entire project lifecycle, fromfeasibility through to project closeout and handover.

Basic Duties:

• Lead the development ofSolar PV projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time deliveryand within budget.
  
• Conduct projectfeasibility studies, including technical, financial, and regulatoryassessments.
  
• Oversee investmentanalysis, financial modeling, and securing funding for projects.
  
• Manage stakeholderrelationships, including investors, contractors, regulatory bodies, andlocal communities.
  
• Coordinate projectplanning, procurement, and execution phases, ensuring compliance withindustry standards.
  
• Monitor projectprogress, risks, and deliverables, ensuring milestones are met.
  
• Lead project closeoutactivities, including testing, commissioning, and handover to operationsteams.
  
• Ensure compliance withenvironmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles throughout theproject lifecycle.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,Renewable Energy, Project Management, or Finance (Master’s degree is aplus).
  
• Minimum of 8-10 years experience in Solar PV project development, with a proven track record ofdelivering projects across Africa.
  
• Strong knowledge ofinvestment analysis, financial structuring, and project financing forrenewable energy projects.
  
• Experience managing thefull project lifecycle, from feasibility studies to project handover.
  
• Solid understanding ofregulatory frameworks and permitting processes in African markets.
  
• Proficiency in projectmanagement tools and software.
  
• Exceptional leadership,analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Willingness to travelextensively across Africa as required.
