Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or mechatronics.
• 7+ years in project management in automation or manufacturing.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, HMI, robotics.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience coordinating remote/distributed teams.
• Proficient in MS Project or Primavera and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire lifecycle of industrial automation projects, from initial concept and design through to implementation, commissioning, and handover.

• Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee the procurement of hardware and software components, and manage vendor performance.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a significant portion dedicated to industrial automation, control systems, or manufacturing projects.
• Proven experience managing projects involving PLCs, SCADA, HMI, robotics, and other automation technologies.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent technical aptitude and the ability to understand complex engineering concepts.
• Outstanding communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a remote setting and managing distributed teams is essential.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and familiarity with relevant technical documentation.
• Located in South Africa and able to work effectively in a remote capacity.
