Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

Planning, design, construction, and commissioning of multi-disciplinary petrochemical projects from inception to completion.

• Ensures projects are completed within the time and cost limit as well as to the agreed specifications.
• Compiling P&IDs, HAZOP / MOC studies, budgets & schedules for capital expenditure projects.
• Managing design, draughting and in-house fabrication of piping, pressure equipment, structures, heat exchangers, distillation columns & vessels.
• Management of local & international contractors and suppliers.
• Drafting of RFQs, BOQ, review of variation orders, contract adjudications & contract administration (NEC, JBCC).

Desired Experience & Qualification

Essential: South African citizen

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering.
• Project Management Diploma Experience.

Essential Experience: Over 10 years of engineering experience, in the petroleum/oil/gas or liquid bulk tank industry, of which 5 years was in a project management role.

Preferable: OHS Act, ASME B31 (Piping). SANS 347, SANS 10089-1 & ASME VIII standards.
