Great projects don’t happen by accident. They happen when people have clarity, understand what matters, ask the right questions, and work together towards a shared outcome.
As our Project Manager, you’ll bring those pieces together. You’ll plan, lead, and coordinate projects from initial idea through to delivery and a controlled transition into Business as Usual (BAU).
You’ll work across teams to turn plans into action, connecting the right people, identifying challenges early, and keeping everyone focused on what we’re trying to achieve and why.
Purpose of the role
- You’ll lead and coordinate projects that support our business strategy, client commitments, operational improvements, transitions, transformation initiatives, and technology change.
- As the central point of coordination, you’ll bring impacted teams and stakeholders together around clear outcomes. You’ll make sure projects stay focused on their agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations, while creating the governance and visibility people need to make informed decisions.
- You’ll also keep a close eye on risks and dependencies, asking the right questions when something doesn’t look right and helping teams find practical solutions.
- And because delivery isn’t finished at go-live, you’ll make sure each project moves smoothly into BAU, with clear ownership and the right support in place.

Responsible use of AI in project delivery
We’re curious about how technology can help us work smarter, but we don’t use it simply because we can. We make sure there’s a clear purpose, the right controls are in place, and people remain accountable for the decisions we make.
What you’ll be doing
- Use only approved artificial intelligence (AI) tools and authorised data for project activities.
- Look for suitable opportunities to use AI to help with planning, analysis, reporting, meeting follow-up, and administrative automation.
- Make sure there’s a clear business purpose, ownership, risk assessment, and appropriate approval before introducing or materially changing an AI solution.
- Protect confidential, personal, client, and regulated information when working with prompts, source data, and AI-generated outputs.
- Apply meaningful human review and remain accountable for AI-supported decisions and deliverables.
- Question and validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, completeness, bias, fairness, source quality, and intellectual property considerations.
- Be transparent when AI has materially contributed to an analysis, recommendation, decision, or deliverable.
What success looks like
- AI use follows approved processes and client commitments.
- Sensitive information is protected from unauthorised disclosure.
- Appropriate reviews and approvals are recorded.
- AI-related risks and limitations are actively understood and managed.
- AI delivers productivity benefits without compromising quality or human accountability.
What you’ll bring
Professional Know-how:
Education
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business, Commerce, Operations, Information Technology (IT), or a related discipline.
- A recognised project management certification such as Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), PRINCE2, Project Management Professional (PMP), Association for Project Management (APM), Agile, or Scrum would be advantageous.
You’ll bring:
- Demonstrable experience coordinating or managing cross-functional projects.
- Experience across project planning, governance, reporting, stakeholder management, and RAID control.
- Experience in business change, operational transition, technology implementation, client onboarding, or transformation would be an advantage.
Technical capability
You’ll be comfortable using the tools and information around you to keep projects moving and make informed decisions.
You’ll bring:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of project planning, scheduling, financial tracking, governance reporting, and collaboration tools.
- A practical understanding of approved AI tools for project planning, reporting, analysis, risk management, and workflow automation.
- Awareness of data protection, security, privacy, transparency, fairness, human oversight, and accountability.
- The ability to write clear prompts, assess sources, and critically validate AI-generated outputs rather than simply accepting them at face value.
- A commitment to completing required AI training and staying up to date with approved guidance.
What will help you thrive
Leadership and ownership
You create clarity, bring people together, and take ownership of getting things moving. You’re comfortable leading through influence rather than relying on direct authority.
Planning and organisation
You can take something complex and make it manageable. You prioritise effectively, connect the moving parts, and stay focused when deadlines compete.
You build trusted relationships, listen to different perspectives, influence decisions, and manage expectations openly.
Communication and facilitation
You communicate complex information simply and directly. You’re confident presenting to senior audiences and know how to facilitate conversations that lead to clear outcomes.
Problem-solving and judgement
You’re curious about what sits behind a challenge. You use evidence, analysis, and sound judgement to understand the problem before recommending a way forward.
Commercial and financial awareness
You understand that great project delivery needs to make commercial sense. You’re comfortable working with budgets, forecasts, benefits, and commercial commitments.
Risk and control mindset
You look ahead and ask,“What could get in the way?” You identify threats early, apply proportionate controls, and know when something needs to be escalated.
Adaptability and resilience
Projects change. Priorities move. New information comes to light. You stay focused, rethink the plan when needed, and maintain momentum through ambiguity and change.
Collaboration and customer focus
You work inclusively, put shared outcomes ahead of silos, and keep client, customer, and operational needs at the heart of project delivery.
AI and digital fluency
You’re curious about what AI can make better, while understanding that smarter technology still needs human judgement. You use approved AI tools responsibly, protect data, question outputs, and keep human accountability at the centre of project decisions.
