Job description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Global Markets to lead and deliver complex initiatives across trading, risk, and operations for a 6-12 month contract role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle - from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Deliver technology and business change projects within Global Markets, including trading platforms, risk systems, and process automation.
• Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource plans in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints; implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors to align deliverables with business goals.
• Track progress against milestones and provide clear, concise reporting to steering committees and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks and external regulatory standards (e.g., Basel III, MiFID II, IFRS 9).
• Foster continuous improvement and standardisation of project management practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience managing projects within Global Markets, Investment Banking, or Treasury environments.
• Proven track record in delivering multi-disciplinary projects (system upgrades, regulatory change, product launches).
• Strong knowledge of front-to-back trading processes and financial instruments (FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equities, etc.).
• PMP, Prince2, or Agile certification preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
