Job summary

Sasso Consulting is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to drive ERP implementations, IT infrastructure projects and system integration initiatives. This is a 100% remote role with occasional Centurion office attendance for meetings or workshops.

The successful candidate will manage end-to-end delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams, and engage third-party vendors through the full project lifecycle from initiation to go-live and handover.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT/Technology Project Management experience.
• Proven ERP implementation project management experience.
• Proven IT infrastructure project management experience.
• Experience delivering ERP projects across full lifecycle (requirements, configuration/development, integrations, data migration, UAT, cutover and go-live).
• Strong understanding of SDLC and technology implementation lifecycles.

IT Project Manager – ERP & Infrastructure

100% Remote | Occasional Centurion Office Attendance
R50,000 – R80,000 CTC per month

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to manage and deliver technology projects across ERP implementations, IT infrastructure, systems integration and business transformation.

This is a 100% remote position, although occasional attendance at the Centurion office may be required for specific meetings, workshops or project requirements.

This is not a general Project Management position. The successful candidate must have proven hands-on Project Management experience across BOTH ERP implementations and IT Infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, hands-on technology Project Manager who can independently manage multiple projects, coordinate technical and business teams, manage third-party vendors and drive projects from initiation through to successful go-live and operational handover.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end technology projects from initiation and planning through implementation, testing, go-live, hyper-care and operational handover.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across ERP, enterprise applications and IT infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans and delivery milestones.
• Manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID) throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project scope, change requests, budgets, forecasts and expenditure.
• Coordinate internal IT teams, business stakeholders, ERP consultants, infrastructure specialists and third-party vendors.
• Manage ERP implementations covering:
  • Business requirements and process workshops
  • Solution design
  • Configuration and development
  • Data migration
  • Systems integration
  • Testing and UAT
  • Cutover and go-live
  • Hyper-care and operational handover
• Manage infrastructure projects involving areas such as:
  • Cloud migrations
  • Servers and hosting
  • Networks
  • Data centres
  • Cybersecurity
  • End-user technology
  • Infrastructure upgrades and migrations
• Coordinate dependencies between ERP/application, infrastructure, integration and business teams.
• Lead project status meetings and governance forums.
• Produce accurate project reporting for management and key stakeholders.
• Manage third-party suppliers, implementation partners and technology vendors.
• Proactively identify, manage and elevate delivery risks and issues.
• Ensure appropriate project governance, documentation and controls are maintained.
• Work effectively with geographically distributed teams in a remote environment.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Project Management or similar.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum or equivalent Project Management certification advantageous.
• Approximately 7+ years' Project Management experience, predominantly within technology environments.
• Proven experience managing ERP implementations – essential.
• Proven experience managing IT Infrastructure projects – essential.
• Experience delivering ERP projects across the full implementation lifecycle, including requirements, configuration/development, integrations, data migration, UAT, cutover and go-live.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Sage, JD Edwards or similar.
• Strong IT infrastructure delivery experience involving cloud, networks, servers, data centres, security, migrations and/or infrastructure transformation.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and technology implementation lifecycles.
• Experience managing third-party technology vendors and implementation partners.
• Strong project financial management, budgeting and forecasting capability.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent technology projects.
• Experience working with remote, distributed or international teams advantageous.

Essential Requirements

• 7+ years' IT/Technology Project Management experience.
• Proven ERP implementation Project Management experience.
• Proven IT Infrastructure Project Management experience.
• Demonstrable end-to-end technology project delivery experience.
• Strong project governance including project planning, RAID management, budgets, reporting, change control and stakeholder management.
• Experience managing technical teams, vendors and implementation partners.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a 100% remote environment.
• Ability to attend occasional meetings or workshops at the Centurion office when required.

Candidates with only ERP experience or only IT Infrastructure experience will not be considered. Both are essential for this position.

Candidates should preferably be Gauteng-based or within reasonable travelling distance of Centurion, as occasional office attendance may be required.

Remuneration

R50,000 – R80,000 CTC per month, depending on experience and technical/project delivery background.
