Job summary

A project management firm in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver key information technology projects. The ideal candidate must have 5-8 years of project management experience along with a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Responsibilities include coordinating resources, developing project plans, and ensuring timely project execution within budget. Strong communication skills and experience in SCRUM and Agile methodologies are essential for this role.

Project Management
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Mitigate constraints and eliminate bottleneck impediments through risk analysis.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
  • Will be responsible for developing project plans, managing, and monitoring of key information technology projects.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 -8 years’ experience as a Project Manager
  • Solid understanding of SDLC
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management and/or Information Systems and/or Information Technology and/or related technical
  • Certification in the project management field.
