Job summary

A recruitment company is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Durban. This role involves supporting the General Manager with strategic projects, building business strategies, and managing project documentation. Candidates should have at least 8 years of senior-level project management experience, preferably in FMCG, and hold relevant project management qualifications. Qualifications

  • 8 - 10 years in Project Management at a Senior Level.
  • 4 - 6 years in FMCG (Preferably Business to Business).
  • PMO Corporate Experience (Advantageous).

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the General Manager and Southern Africa Leadership Team on Strategic Projects.
  • Building and Updating of Projects Management Documents and Templates.
  • Building Business Strategies and Execution Models.
  • Building and Updating of Project Charters.
  • Building and Tracking of Programs (MS Projects) for each Strategic Project.
  • Setting Governance and Reporting on Strategic Projects.
  • Charing Steercoms and Project Team Meetings.
  • Presenting Execution Plans and Communicating to Business.
  • Training and Upskilling of Team Members in Project Management.
  • Building and updating of Dashboards for Tracking, Monitoring and Controlling Projects.
  • Setting up Strategic Meetings and supporting Global Visits and Workshops in South Africa.
  • Conducting Risk Assessments, Responsibility Assessment Matrix's and Communication Plans.
  • Flagging Risks, Escalating Concerns and Decision-Making Activities.
