Placements24 is seeking a Project Engineer with a strong mechanical background to lead diverse engineering projects in Port Elizabeth. You will oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality.

The role involves coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders and providing technical leadership. The position offers a hybrid work model, exposure to varied engineering projects, and a path to ownership of significant initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in project management, preferably in industrial/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and project execution methodologies.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects from planning to closure.
• Develop project scopes, objectives, timelines and resource requirements.
• Coordinate design, procurement, installation and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and contractors to ensure clear communication.

About the Role

Our client seeks a motivated Project Engineer with a strong mechanical background to manage and execute various engineering projects in Port Elizabeth . This role involves overseeing projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, providing technical leadership and ensuring successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities
